
The Toledo Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2026 summer Safe-T-City program. This marks the 47th year the department has offered this free child safety program to the youth of Toledo.
Safe-T-City sessions are offered in both morning and afternoon time slots and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Session times are as follows: morning sessions run from 8:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., and afternoon sessions run from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Toledo Mud Hens are teaming up with the City of Toledo, Toledo PAL, and Major League Baseball to host our annual PLAY BALL event at Toledo PAL Field on Saturday, June 6, as a part of our PLAY BALL Weekend. This day of fun is part of an ongoing effort to build connections between youth sports and the Toledo community.
PLAY BALL is free and open to any baseball or softball novice aged 4 to 12 years old. Each session features five skill stations for participants to learn baseball fundamentals. All children will receive a free PLAY BALL-branded bat and ball set to take home. Participants must be preregistered.
